Supporting our Communities
05/11/2020
The health and wellness of our communities is of utmost importance. ExxonMobil Pipeline Company is constantly working to bring aid to the communities we serve, especially during this difficult time. We’re also partnering with local businesses and organizations while supporting the local economy. We remain focused on the safety of our people and our neighbors and continue to take precautionary measures to ensure our communities stay safe and prosperous.
Our operations in Baton Rouge have transitioned to produce mass quantities of hand sanitizer, fuel, and medical safety equipment such as masks and face shields. We recently partnered with Lemonade Creative Marketing and the Capital Area United Way to produce and distribute our donations throughout the Baton Rouge community.
Donations by the Gallon
Initial production of 160,000 gallons of medical-grade sanitizer, enough to fill nearly 5 million 4-ounce bottles, is being distributed to medical providers and first responders.
Fueling The Fight
Entergy Louisiana, in partnership with the Baton Rouge Area Foundation, ExxonMobil, LMOGA Foundation, the Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana Foundation and Humana, is stepping up by Fueling the Fight in the Capital Region, providing up to $290,000 in much-needed relief funds for those affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
To enhance safety, ExxonMobil plant personnel package the sanitizers outdoors. The new manufacturing process upholds all safety requirements and the consumer-ready product meets FDA standards.
ExxonMobil employees at facilities across the country have shifted their workdays to deliver sanitizers to the front lines. Ryan Beissinger maintains social distancing during a delivery at Baton Rouge General Hospital.

The Collaboration
An ExxonMobil team of experts in chemicals, materials science and manufacturing is offering their experience to help a collaborative effort organized by the Global Center for Medical Innovation. Fifty thousand face shields have been produced, and production facilities are ramping up to manufacture upwards of 170,000 more per hour in the coming days. The collaboration has also produced models for a new, reusable face mask design that will address the shortage of N95 protective masks.
Laptop Donations
With so many students learning from home due to school closures during the Coronavirus pandemic, ExxonMobil teamed up with Cox Communications through the Walls Project to distribute $30,000 in laptops for children in need of educational technology within the East Baton Rouge School System.
Baton Rouge Fuel Donations
Six ExxonMobil wholesalers across Louisiana are donating $13,000 in gas gift cards to healthcare workers, totaling now 60,000 gallons of fuel for emergency response vehicles.
