Pipeline Investments in Greater Baton Rouge

Our investments in pipeline maintenance work in Ascension, East Baton Rouge, Iberville and West Baton Rouge have totaled more than $500 million. Started in Fall 2020, we worked to reinforce and enhance the safety and reliability of our pipeline operations while minimizing disruptions to our customers, neighbors and the environment. Safety is our core value throughout all stages of work, and we are committed to the safe and responsible operation of all of our pipelines and facilities.

Baton Rouge area businesses have benefitted from our work through subcontracting service agreements and increased spending at local establishments—restaurants, hotels, equipment rental operators and other suppliers and service providers will enjoy an economic boost during construction.
For more than 100 years, ExxonMobil has been a part of the oil industry in Louisiana, with Baton Rouge home to one of our largest refineries. Our work in the greater Baton Rouge area is vital to pushing the state and country to the forefront of the global energy marketplace.
With the oil and natural gas industry providing some of the most sought after jobs for the region, ExxonMobil Pipeline Company is invested in preparing the next generation of workers. We are partnering with local universities and community colleges to ensure Louisianans can take advantage of the great opportunities the industry has to offer.
